Clay

When I moved to North Carolina, I rediscovered clay and fell deeply in love with the material. Its immediacy, warmth, and responsiveness gave me a new way to express what I could not always communicate through words. That connection felt natural and deeply personal.

Working with clay is an intimate conversation between my hands and the earth. I press, build, carve, and shape the material, allowing emotion and intuition to guide the form. The surface preserves every gesture, imperfection, and trace of the creative process.

Clay has become the primary material I use to produce my sculptures. Through it, I explore the human figure, memory, transformation, vulnerability, and hope. Each piece begins with a feeling and slowly develops its own presence, carrying both the physical marks of its creation and the emotional experience that inspired it.
