Carolina Rojas
Sculptor
Sculptures exploring transformation, migration, nature, and human connection.
Born in Venezuela and based in Black Mountain, North Carolina, Carolina Rojas creates sculptures rooted in personal experience and shaped by the universal desire for connection and belonging. Working in clay, bronze, and mixed media, she transforms memories, emotions, and observations into tactile forms that invite reflection and discovery.
Her work explores the ways people are changed by movement, displacement, relationships, and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from organic forms and the expressive possibilities of her materials, Carolina examines the delicate balance between strength and vulnerability, permanence and change, separation and connection.
Through her practice, she seeks to create moments of recognition, reminding us of our shared humanity and the unseen experiences that connect us.
